On November 25, 1957, four busses replaced two trains (No. 2 and No. 7) that provided commuter service to the region. The bus service provided connections with both Maine Central Railroad and Greyhound. Bangor and Aroostook Railroad's magazine, "Maine Line," v. 5 #5, pp. 4-8; v. 6, #1, pp. 4-7.
