Its interesting that you Post the Citroen M35, I did not know about that model with the Rotary engine until I visited the Lane Automotive Museum in Nashville TN a few weeks ago. They have a restored one on display but I only took a Picture of the interior. The sign said that most were bought back and scrapped due to poor fuel mileage, and the fact that they did not want to stock spare parts. The car did not look like the one you posted, it looked like a normal Citroen (if such a thing actually exists!!!)
Your Steam powered car pictures reminded me of the 1969 Steam Powered Pontiac Grand Prix test car. GM chose the GP platform for its industry leading long hood at the time. They still had to stretch the front end about a foot to fit all the steam engine, boiler, ect....
