Ha! That's in Grizzly's neck of the woods. That's even his engine. Let's see how much room he has left on his property
I came across this one in the Orange County CA Craig's last night. Didn't post it because the straight 8 has been replaced with a stovebolt Chevy 6.... https://orangecounty.craigslist.org/cto/d/1952-pontiac-chieftain-tin/6485806647.html
Krash, It could have been Flat Head 6 powered model originally, but I consider the asking price to be well over double the max I would pay for it in its current condition, considering the rust & other body repair, condition of the chrome & other trim, and interior. But either would be a good home for my former drag racing OHC-6 with the home made tri-power.
I had just assumed all Pontiacs of that vintage had straight 8's - didn't check my brochure sources. My dad had a '52 4-door Streamliner (at least I think it was a '52), but it was gone before I was big enough to look under the hood. We don't even have any pics of it. ............................................... Didn't realize you have an OHC-6. You need to find something to put it in......'67/'68 Firebird would be ideal.
Your hotrod six would be better off in a first series Firebird or early Ventura. The wagon is simply too heavy, to do it justice. Look how he butchered it, with that conversion. I wonder what he used for an elbow, to connect those bottom radiator hoses. The fresh air cowl is missing. So, that the driver gets a fresh whiff of blow-by, instead. The radiator shroud was either riveted together from a neighbor's stolen barbecue smoker or a discarded oil drum. Reason enough for dropping a Pontiac 8 into it: Not equal length. But, better than no headers whatsoever: https://www.bangshift.com/forum/for...r-buick-s-1969-firebird-ohc-six-project/page7
