    That's a very successful project!

    That original A/C compressor though....HUGE!

Caleb and I had a class to attend last night, so Nathaniel and Steve finished it all up. Nathaniel took it for a spin around the block. So, it sounds like it might be ready to roll. A few more tweaks here and there perhaps, but we should be able to address those this coming weekend.
I don't want to get too far ahead of myself, but I think this may be a success.

And yes, the original A/C compressor is indeed ginormous.

It seems like Chrysler always had huge A/C compressors. It's like a Briggs and Stratton on the front of your engine.

Thank you. We still need to adjust the valves. We're planning on doing it Thursday afternoon.

Valves adjusted. Now to repair the exhaust leaks and replace the gaskets in the collectors. The ones we jacked up while manhandling the exhaust manifolds.

The dogs have all always loved the Fury.
Old man McTucker has been doing it for 15 years now.

She and Caleb were enjoying themselves.

Perhaps we’ll get a little bit of cruising in before the nice weather completely vanishes.

I actually remember riding in one of these wagons. My friend Lynn Wilson, who lived across the street - his mom drove a '62 Belvedere wagon. I remember playing with the little door lock levers, since I didn't know at the time what they did. I figured it out though.

The Vintiques Car club here in town is one of the oldest and largest clubs in our area. Today they put on their first ever Trunk-or-Treat.

It rained all morning, but surprisingly, just before kids were about to arrive the rain stopped and the sun came out.

    IMG_5712.jpeg

We didn’t stay the entire afternoon. We weren’t sure exactly how it was all going work, so we came more for moral support ;)
