Krash, are you an insurance adjuster?
You seem to know a lot about the process.

Yes, but to be more precise, I am an auto damage appraiser
Own my business doing damage appraisals for various companies through an appraisal bureau.

Worked for AAA in SoCal for 8 years in the late 70's/early 80's, then worked for 21st Century Insurance for 22 years doing damage appraisals, supervised a total loss unit for a couple years, then the last 15 or so I was in a department that audited the staff appraisers and the contracted 'direct repair' shops for accuracy.

Small world. Ten years ago I used to be an office adjuster, I handled heavy equipment losses.
We (Countrywide) insured a lot of reefer drivers in Oregon and Washington who would fall asleep at the wheel, so I had to call a field adjuster/ appraiser (I had a nice Rolodex then) to go see the crash, take pictures, and help with the repairs and salvage of the truck, trailer, and cargo.
I wouldn't be surprised if we knew some of the same people.
I have only a little auto experience, again from a desk.
Mostly non Standard Auto, PIP mostly.

    - Probably not. I've only been here in Oregon since August, '09.....
One thing that I was surprised about with the assignments I get is that 95% of my inspections are at the owners residence or workplace. Working directly for an insurance company in SoCal, I had a good working relationship with many body shops, but here I haven't established that too much since I don't go to the shops for the inspection.

I was alone in the car, on my way home from work. Yeah, no injuries.

If anyone knows of an 88-90 wagon for of sale any kind, please post a link to the ad. I'll need it for the insurance claim.

Man that looks almost as bad as the '89 I'm using as a parts car, glad you're alright man. If someone did that to my wagon, I'd be screaming profanities at them for a month.

I've almost been T boned by a teenage girl in a minivan fishing in the floorboard driving my daily, a 1992 Camaro RS, third gen. I went to make a right turn on green, minivan kept coming through the red light and nearly T boned me in the drivers side door, glad my horn works or that would've not ended well. I have a very short fuse, and a very bad temper.

Also almost got T boned in our wagon when a teenage guy did the same thing, through the light, distracted by the radio or something on the dash.

I cannot stand distracted drivers of any age, I will not touch the radio unless I am sitting still. I will never even acknowledge my phone is vibrating when I'm driving either, and I'm happy they're putting regulation on dashboard touch screen systems.

May your wagon live on, and may that SUV never drive again. Hope all goes well with the repairs.

    Good Luck,

    -Ben

I can't believe that after SIX days, I finally had to call State Farm myself to get a claim #. They graciously took my information.
Both drivers are insured with State Farm.
State Farm used to treat people a lot better than that.
Both drivers are insured with State Farm.
I used to work for the State Farm claims dept..
I SHOULD have been contacted and put into a rental car, and had an appraiser assigned, the next day.
It looks like this will take a long time. :banghead3:
