Anyone for era-correct wheels?

 

I kind of like it with the custom side trim.

 

That's not custom trim. It's standard 210

It's custom in that it doesn't have the piece that kicks up from the beltline trim to the base of the window.

 

Indeed it is. I believe this is a 1955 Studebaker Conestoga, 'Conestoga' is the name Studebaker was applying to their station wagons back then. I like the name. Historically, 'Conestoga' was a brand name for horse-drawn wagons back in the 1800's.......

 

It's a notch up from the 150's you've just posted. In fact, I like it even better than the top-notch Bel-Air trim type. That may not necessarilly apply to the hardtops, convertible or Nomad, though

 

The red and white one I posted is a 210

Here is what the 150 looks like:



Every 56 chevrolet two door wagon, Bel Air (Nomad, which kicked forward) 210 and 150 had the chrome trim piece that came up from the beltline trim to the base of the window.

So the black and white one, in post #502 has had it's 210 trim modified, eliminating the chrome strip that goes from the beltline trim to the base of the window.
It's subtle, and I generally am not a fan of the alteration of the trim on these cars, but in this case I don't mind it.
