    Car jackets

    Hi Silverfox,

Sorry for the late reply. This is the 6th winter the car jacket is working for me for me to store cars. I had one car with one, and it has come out in the springtime perfect. Now they all wear a jacket as winter garb. Only you have to make sure the car is dry, preferably clean but dry is more important. I wrap it with a custom flannel cover to protect the paintwork and then zip it up in the sturdy nylon bag.

The car that got invaded by mice was NOT in a car jacket. After that it was to prevent another invasion. I won't leave a car sitting around in the winter again without one. I get mine at autoanything but there are a couple of other places too, but they aren't easy to find. Over the phone you can ask for their best pricing, as with most online car parts sellers these days. Cost is between $200 and $300 so they aren't cheap but worth it if you're exposed to acres of field mice seeking refuge from the snow.

    Cheers,

    Vic

Question is, A1....did she see any BEFORE??:rofl2:All the tests done by Consumer Reports, and 2 others I can't remember the name of, say that NONE of those electronic pest devices work. I saw one video where they had a bunch of mice eating food they put out and they fired up one of those devices and there was no reaction at all from those mice.:rofl2:

yeah, she saw one...scared the crap out of her! (she is also deathly afraid of cats too...not sure why) that is why she bought it.

there is always poisons, traps and of course, kitty kitty.

as far as spiders....cedar gets rid of them. lay some cedar planks in the garage and it should clear them out.

Ivory soap or Irish spring for the interior seems to work and makes the car smell good.
I'll be trying the fabric softeners around the exterior and plugging the exhausts.
    great tips all.
