Anybody have a 68-70 country squire with hidden headlights and no woodgrain or pics of one? my woodgrain is pretty crummy and am 50/50 on replacing it or painting it solid color. I'm thinking maybe removing it and painting moldings a different color.

If you keep the wood grain trim, it will always look like a Squire minus the wood. It can look really great, though, if you choose the colours carefully, and do the wood area in a contrast hue to the main body of the car. If the interior is a different colour completely than the paint, then do the wood area to match the interior, and it looks planned and thought out. The other, more interesting, look would be to get the exterior trim from an LTD sedan. The most deluxe version you can, and fit it to the wagon. The only part that could be tricky would be the quarter panels. The front clip and doors are all the same length as the sedan. That would look stock but unusual enough to catch the eye. From the factory you could get the Marquis wagon like that. Essentially the Grand Marquis sedan trim on the wagon, but wood grain delete.
