Only $6,500, 289 V8, 3 speed, interior looks good (except for cargo area and patch on driver's seat), lots of work already done.

Unless there's something missing from these pics - like a huge cut-out of the transmission hump :D - this looks like a great deal. :49:

I'd look at it if it were closer. Maybe $5500-$6000.
Keep in mind it needs front end work.

Personally, I'd pass on any 60's big Ford wagon that doesn't at least have a 390 in it........... Just me........

One of these days I would like for you to drive my 289 at half throttle on the road of your choosing.

Granted I wouldn't pull a large boat through Colorado with it, but I can easily get a speeding ticket in any zone. Additionally, I have never had a passenger tell me to speed up.

A well tuned 289 in these cars will go faster than you want to go in these cars.

I would actually prefer the small block. A little tweaking and that 289 will run plenty hard. An FE makes more grunt power, but will be very thirsty for high octane fuel. My '66 BelAir still has the original 283 in it. I put in a mild Isky cam, Performer intake with Holley 600 and HEI distributor. The car had small tube headers and duals when I bought it. I replaced the 'glide with a TH350. It has stock 3.08:1 gears. A little tweaking and this car hauls butt AND gets 20 MPG on pump gas. The scenario with a 289 would be no different.

There's alot of space under that hood! My 390 almost touches the shock towers on each side.

It may take on a little more fuel but I love the sound of my FE compared to my SB.
