    Good Intro Lex, even though it wasn't in the Intros. You got our hearts pumpin':rofl2: :Welcome:

    A live, online find! Blow-by-blowby! :D

    Someone here, posted getting his car from SoCal to the east for a good price, within the last 2 weeks. I think he posted in the Intros. Search for San Fransico or SoCal. Can't recall the name. :oops:

    Hot DOGGIES!! :yahoo::yippee: (y) :lolup:

    Way to go, LEX!!! I'm really excited that someone got that car that appreciates it. By all means....check a LOT of car shippers. Don't go with the ebay recommended DAS...highest price I found anywhere. There are MANY out there that do a good job for a very reasonable price....half or less than DAS. Congratulations on a nice original wagon! Wish I lived closer to see if I could find out what's up with the engine problem. I'm thinking & hoping not serious. Be sure to ask the seller WHAT COLOR IS THE SMOKE he's been seeing.

    Lex - good deal. As to the shipping, I'd suggest sending a PM to member hullinger. He recently bought a '72 Mercury Colony Park in San Diego and had it shipped back east. He mentioned it in a post somewhere, but I can't find it. Price seemed real reasonable.

    Congratulations Lex! Hey, I'm really psyched for you. When do you get it? Looks like it's in fine shape and I'm happy it's going to you, who's really into it. Be sure to keep us updated as far as what you do to it and, of course it goes without saying, post some pics too. It looks like it's going to clean up super nice. Good for you.

    Sitting in front of my office computer browsing this site instead of finishing my paperwork? More appropriately - Tampa FL if that's what you're asking. I am originally from NYC but I know that's not what you're asking ... I think :p

    BTW .. smoke is bluish black ... The guy said it smells like oil a bit he guesses it may be an oil ring I may be thinking what you guys are thinking about the 401 ... that just sounds pretty ideal to me.

    I am researching movers and haulers now so no eta on when I get it yet. I am also going to be looking into the tail light issue .. anyone know off the cuff if the tail light cover from a 76 will fit a 74? or is it a different style? I know the grilles arent the same for instance.

    Dunno, Lex. There's a pic of the tail light on the ebay ad....check it against the one you saw. Yup....a 401 would be choice. But if I could get the little guy runnin' I would drive it that way and take my time on the 401. First thing I would do is see whats up with the engine...bluish black could be a carb problem. After I found out about the engine....I sure would like to see that wagon detailed to the nines! I know it's not perfect but I'll bet she cleans up real NICE.
