You better not forget. We learn all kinds of new illnesses almost every visit. Kinda like taking your car in for minor work. They fix things even if you don't know they are broke!:slap:
Takin MsDollie tomorrow and checking the gas prices in Gainesville.
Our LP bill went so high we started burning furnature. When my computer desk goes I'm in trouble.

When I moved into my house in 1999, LP was about 70c/gallon. By the end of the year when it went to 89c/gallon I had a hard time affording it. I hung on a few more years after that. Then totally shut down the furnace and went to space heaters for a couple years. Then switched to cutting our own wood about 2006 and at least now even though I can't afford much else, I can afford to keep heat in the house. Couldn't imagine using LP now, what is it, like around $2.50-$3 a gallon?

I remember it under 20 cents in Tucson, AZ (where I grew up) in the mid-late '60s. I remember waiting with my mom (in one of our many station wagons) for the gas attendant to post the new price in response to his competitor across the street dropping his price a penny.

Remember Dad complaining about 20 cents, and me ragging at a guy about going from 37.9 to 39.9 [premium - 12 1/2 to one] without warning!
    Hell - I was buying $2 a day for a 301 3-deuce M-22 4:11 geared '56 chevy!!

But then again, I was only making $1.40/hr...........

I think it was 59/9 when I started driving. My dad said he'd buy the first tank, he didn't know a 75 Matador had a 25 gallon tank :slap:

    Well, I'm just a youngun.

I remember 99 cents a gallon (my dad got it at that price because he had the tanks on the farm filled) I also remember him saying that nobody would ever pay more than 99 cents for a gallon of gas.

When I started driving, it was around 1.80 a gallon, I think.

i remember 1 summer of .88 per gallon. but most of my life till 9/11 it hovered around 1.18 per gal. luckily that was the time i had my jeep wrangler...i LOVED that Jeep. Driving a jeep with the doors off is one of the most awesome feelings ever. I want another one bad, but i can't afford 12-15mpg hwy. if gas was still .88c a gallon, i would so have a big block Buick wagon or a duce and a .25!

Here in Florida LP for heating is somewhere near $4 gallon! Regular car fuel about $3.62--Happy motoring.:slap: Glad it has warmed up here.

Dang. Fuel oil (which is just dyed diesel fuel) has approached $4/gal, but propane has never reached that. Of course if I lived in Florida, I'd not even bother with installing heat in the house. Maybe run a space heater once in a blue moon. When it spikes to 50F, you'll see people running around in shorts even with snow on the ground.

But gas is about the same. Highest I saw was $4.50 a few summers ago, but it was getting close to that for awhile last winter.

I actually remember gas prices being over a dollar my entire life. But I do recall for a few months in either '97 or '98, gas price wars at various Ohio stations had me putting 69.9 cent regular into a Geo Metro. It was about that time I felt unafraid to purchase a '78 Impala wagon for $160. Now I only wish I could find one in that condition for ten times that price.
