    Thanks, bstout!
Snoot...the radio is supposed to be some big deal. I know nothing about car stereos but when I turned on the radio all I get is front speakers and regular old sound?? LOL....wonder if the ex owner sort of forgot to put something else in the car that was supposed to go with it. The fender trim is off but I have them in the back of the car. AFTER reminding him. There's a wire sticking out from under the front seat with a black rectangular, flat box attached with a single heavy prong sticking out of it. I have no idea what that is. I'm hoping that it isn't something that the stereo needs that the guy swiped on me!

Maybe you've been out FOXed...(sorry, can't pass up a cheap shot).
You don't deserve it, just a character flaw on my part!!!
That would sound like the amp wire to me, if it isn't the seatbelt wire(idiot light).
My son is telling me it could the power wire(for the amp) or for a graphic equalizer, then an amp. Also he said to check for a heavy duty wire from the battery or fuse block, that would power the amp. If the back speaker won't 'kick', that was where the amp was circuted to.
Do you have a remote control for the radio?
Or could that be the CD changer(like a 12 disc).
Call the guy and ask, could also be where they ran something and then re-ran it to someplace else, and didn't bother to remove the feed wire(kids can be lazy like that).
Those amps can drain a battery something fierce, even with a high output alt., if not done correctly with relays and such. They have to be powered and grounded CORRECTLY and with the right size wires, and fuses.
I'm sure you have other questions about the car...start a list...
    You know how that goes!!!
If you want I start wishin' those 'Crotch Critters' on HIM, and his Momma!!! (or I could get them sent 'special delivery'......dontchaknow???)
    Later,
    Bruce

LOL....thanks, bstout. Now that you mention it......I seem to recall something about the owner mentioning something about a battery drain......
Can't remember. I will call the guy IF he will answer. If not, I will send Amp over to kick his ass! :biglaugh:
ALL the stereo stuff is installed in the back. Takes up the floor of the jump seat, the back glove compartment and the spare tire area! This plug COULD be from back there but......I have no idea where or what it would plug into??

The ad says he added an amp somewhere, so there's probably a button or switch to turn it on. They usually amplify the back speakers. That flat box is likely the woofer sound box. He said it was discreetely located. Maybe under the seat is a good idea. You might get good vibrations.

Thanks, Normy...see above post. I'll have to do some looking when I get back to the car again.

I am pretty sure the little box he is talking about is a control for the subs, there are actully 2 in this car, one you can see in the pics the other is in the storage to the left in a another custom enclosure. The amps are mounted in the spare tire well, which could be a pain if he ever wants a spare tire....I am sure I could tell him how to hook it all back up over the phone if I needed to it is pretty much the same setup I use in all my cars lol
