Yup. Marker lights and turn signals on some models. Cadillacs first got them, then Buick and Olds in this era. They run off of fiber optics, so there's a good chance they don't work on many cars anymore as the plastic gets brittle or snapped over the years.

That Oldsmobile wagon looks pretty solid. It is quite possibly worth saving. St the east there are a bunch of parts on her that need salvage, if nothing else.

I'm sure that the cable could be replaced, but would it be worth it for me to try to install these on mine?

How are these connected on the other end of the cables? On the headlight end?

You could always put a small LED light in them.

Darn, I didn't have a camera the day I saw a Mercury Grand Marquis parked in Pittsburgh on East Ohio Street. I thought it was a 1985 but whatever the case it was pre-1988. It was clearly in rough shape.

Didn't get a pic because it was too dark, but I saw a '65 or '66 Rambler wagon, tu-tone green, at the nearby Wendy's night before last. I'll keep an eye out for it.

Saw this today. Hopefully it's a work in progress. It looks like the master cylinder and ac drier are relatively new, the bottom half of the transmission was laying in the front seat.:nailbiting: IMG_0802.JPG IMG_0803.JPG IMG_0804.JPG IMG_0805.JPG

Saw one like that today at Pick 'n' Nose, a mid-'80s Safari that looked like it had come back from a safari. dented, tweaked front clip, partly stove in roof, flat-out flat oxidation red paint--it certainly looked like it drove the Serengeti.

A, . Been a minute since I seen one of these. My friend had a red one in high school. Never seen one with the stripes and logo though. It was an a rather upscale neighborhood. Check the Mercedes SUV in the background, if you look close it had the custom exhaust in front of the rear tire. Think those things start out at like $80,000? The wagon Must belong the baby sitter!
