Yeah, Jax, I agree. If they made those wagons today I would have one for a DD. They do have a style to them. Fat did good finding that wagon and did better snatching it up.

 

No tie but it did have socks in it...and batteries too, about 50 double A's in the glove box

 

Don't remove those batteries from the glove box, Fat. That's what that wagon runs on!

Hey, Fat....I just reread this entire thread and looked at all the pix again. I just can't believe the LACK of rust on that wagon! The underside looks like it just came from Ziebart. I would love to have a wagon like that. That one is solid as the day it was built. That's a project that I would enjoy taking my time on and picking away at it until I got it all the way back to showroom. It could be a hobby that may last for years but when it was finished it would probably be the best Crown in the world. I may have missed it....did you get it home? I like that little wagon so much that I feel like coming up there and helping you bring it back to its glory days.

 

Thanx again Fox, I'm hoping to get her home the week end after next....I have to make room and do a spring clean up at home My honey is going to Reno ( I think?) this week for a couple weeks of golfing with the girls ( and I hope none of the...what happens in Reno stays in Reno)so I'll have free time to get alot done.

First plan of attack will be fresh oil/filter and see if it runs, but with the old school gas can gravity feed hook up. The gas tank, I'll have that boiled. I can't wait to get it home and start puttering. I just came from our insurance agents...these ladys are real car people, they know me all to well from the years and they like the wagon. We googled it! They gave me info on who to call and what questions to ask at motor viehicle so I can maybe atleast find out how many of these were sold in BC. No garanties though.

When it fianaly makes it home I'll get her up in the air for better pics of the under side etc.

Fox, Budy, your more than welcome here any time, just keep your tail gate closed in the drive way. If it's open you'll turn around to see the dogs napping in the drive way
