I did not win the car. It sold for $15,000, and that's just too far beyond what I think it's worth given the issues I pointed out above. Ah well, maybe next time.

Some of the selling prices for the cars shown at the top of this thread.

    1991 Custom Cruiser: $22,000
    1976 Custom Cruiser: $15,000
    1981 Cutlass Cruiser: $9,900
    1986 Custom Cruiser: $11,000
    1990 Custom Cruiser: $9,900

As of this writing, the 1950 Custom Woody has not yet reached the auction block.

The 1990 Buick Estate Wagon mentioned in post #14 sold for $14,300. Right after it came a 1985 Estate Wagon, and that sold for $13,200.

Was it confirmed that all of these were consigned by the same seller?

Yes, the Mecum site shows that 45 cars, lots T146 through T190, which includes all of these wagons, were from "CJ's Texas Classic Collection." There were more wagons of different makes as well as a variety of other cars.

Wow. $55,000 for a ‘68 Impala wagon! Those are up in the nose bleed section with the Caprice wagons of the same year.

It was good to see them on tv. we had went out to eat, i came home turned on the auction just as the 55 Studebaker wagon was going across, and saw all of those cross the line recorded earlier in the day. .

The 1950 Olds "Custom Woody" sold for $34,100. People tend to have strong feelings one way or the other when it comes to heavily customized cars like this. But whatever side you come down on, this one is really nicely done.

The last Olds wagon up for auction at Mecum Dallas, the 1948 Series 66 woody, sold for $77,000. Wow. It is a beautiful car.

It really is stunning. 10 years ago it would have probably brought $125,000. These have come down, but $77,000 is pretty good money, but you still couldn’t do one of these with this quality for that money.

I love both the red and green wagons, each for different reasons. I'd love to have either.
