amen to that,,,,, the funny thing is at face value it seems rather hill billy ish to consider painting a car with a roller but what i,ve seen so far is rather interesting and all the buzz it,s stirred up,,,the only draw back is obviously un doable with metallics and limited color selections how ever if i,m not mistaken the tremclad is synthetic enamel and i wonder if you could just go to the auto paint store and have the synthetic enamel mixed to what color you desired,,,solid colors of course :yippee:

Yeah, you can use their tint base and they'll mix it your way. You're right though, no metallics and no Mother of Pearl, either.:biglaugh:

Just picked up the July issue of Hot Rod Magazine. Excellent step-by-step, lots of pictures, no rants. :yippee:

They give a list of suppliers and an actual cost list. Then they compare it to a bodyshop job. Even do a Pro and Con comparison.:)

Hot Rod's website rarely include the photos and in this case, they really are helpful.:banghead3:

Hot Rod Mag's website has a 10 part Bodywork series of Tech Articles that are full of step-by-step photos and pictures and sources for supplies, parts (especially GM).

    http://www.hotrod.com/techarticles/body/

    One GM Parts Mfr.: http://www.opgi.com/indexhome.asp

Then there's one reputable website for Fords (50's, 60's 70's) which doesn't have any Mustang parts! Kind of surprised me, but they really are focussed on full-sized Fords and Comets. Even my Fairmont isn't included (its too new!)

    http://www.dearbornclassics.com/

US citizens can get a free catalog, Canucks have to cough up $15.00 US plus postage.:(
