I still miss Billy Holiday. I don't care what that girl stuck in her arm, she could still belt 'um out in a very unique style! So could Whitney. Anin't it great we still have the tunes recorded(y)

Hard to speak highly of her. She's been in rehab three times over the past year and a half or so. It would be like talking hiighly about my alcoholic uncle. He's drank himself into debt, booze has taken his liver and two marrages. Hard to talk fondly of a person like that. Just self destructed.
You can see it, she went on a steady downhill slide over the past several years. I always hated her songs but she was an attractive looking person. She made some horrific choices in her life. But she's an adult, live hard die hard.

It's always sad to see someone fall to the trials of addiction, the list of truly talented people who have gone down this path is so long. In my own life I have lost at least 5 very close friends to meth and heroin, friends I miss every day. I, like Scott, do enjoy a cigarette or two a day, and I once in a great while get my "cheech" on as well, but an addiction of any kind has it's limits and it's ability to be controlled. Mrs. Huston was an amazing person lost once again to a life taken over by addiction.
