Well, That is the plan (y)
I like the red too, but I wanted to get some input from other like minded folks.

I like it too. It gives the wheels a little snap and makes them different from most other cars.

I agree, I think it breaks up the black and white and makes things more interesting, even with the boring hubcaps.

    Understand.
However, the black wheels would NOT detract from the fact that you have a damn cool very rare convertible!!!

You mentioned hubcaps. But, are showing us wheel covers. Which then are you implying? I'd go with the red wheels and hubcaps. Silver-grey wheels wouldn't look bad, either, against polished chrome. Since the wheels are going to get sand-blasted before coating, I'd get out a spraycan of silver wheel spray and do one wheel, to see how it'll look capped. Then mount it onto the vehicle and think it over, from that standpoint. If you don't, you'll always wonder as to how it would have looked. This particular color scheme was often used for interior trim, as well as for the exterior:

Just remember, if you do want to try silver, the particular silver used by Ford is Argent, which is semi-gloss and not really all that metallic. A chromed wheel (even if a chrome powdercoat) would look better than Argent would with the chrome trim. But as Jairus said, it's your car. Do what you like.

That is a very good point. I have actually done this in the past with another vehicle.

We redid a 1967 IH 3/4 service truck and decided to powder coat the original wheels. We have our own color of blue that we paint the products we manufacture. We thought that color might look good on the truck, since the signage on the door was going to be in that color.

We tried both blue and red.

It was pretty easy to decide after we did a rattle can resto.

    White-ish wheels
    fresh from paint-3.jpg

Blue wheel (with borrowed center cap)

Red wheel (with borrowed center cap)
    ih wheels 004.jpg

    We went with red.
    Finished product:
    I-H @ B.L. 007.jpg

But if we hadn't done the paint comparison we never would have known.

I hate to spoil your fun. But, I like the blue wheels better. Maybe, because I'm green-red colorblind and am not seeing the red color in its true intensity, though

The blue wheels do look good on that truck. Especially with the blue sign. I love an old IH :slap:What were you thinking?! Red all the way on the ford though. What a great looking car. It is your car, as others have stated, but i ain’t gonna be nice about it. PAINT THEM RED:thumbs2:

No fun spoiled. The blue wheels were alright, but we all agreed that the red wheels just looked "right".
I used those photos to illustrate your point about using a cheap paint to be able to see in reality what before hand is only a vision in the mind. Works pretty good.

I agree with Poison and Grizz...... and everyone who chose red for the convertible wheels.

Since your company color and the truck signage will be blue I'd gone with blue on the truck. Yet, I love them red too!
So you should get another set of wheels and tires for the truck, paint the wheels matching BLUE and rotate now and then.
On the Fairlane I'd go RED without a second thought
Yet maybe paint two red and two for the other side black!:coco::biglaugh:

    Hope this helps!:slap:
