Red 76 Impala Wagon "again"

I know this one has been around for a while, and it is really a beautiful car, and we all have seen it advertised all over the place for ages now, but this is just the most weirdest ad for this car yet!



I am not sure if the seller is serious about actually selling this car really because this YouTube clip is appalling. Unsteady video of just pics from a computer of the same pics we have already seen and no sound except the clicking of a mouse!!! Really, come on now. He could have at the very very very least, talk through the pics with things drive train and options and price etc. Not exactly what I would have done though.

Is the seller a member here? If not does anyone know who he is and what is the story with the sale of this car? Why has it not sold yet? Is the seller asking too much but also unwilling to deal along the way? Does the car really exist? If so does he really want to sell it? Video of the same pics that have already been published just ads to the confusion imho.

Apologies to the owner/seller if this is just another Nigerian money scam using hijacked pics from the net :sorry:

I've met some really decent people on here but some(one being "occupant") is nothing but a lying,cry-baby,piece of crap!

Hi Clamshell lover, is this one yours? Sorry for offending, but why would you not take live footage of the car? Why didn't you take advantage of using sound like with the engine running? Why not fresh pics? Again I didn't mean to offend but I just can't understand why you would not have taken full advantage of using you tube to really show it off?:sorry: As I said in my O P it is a very beautiful car so live footage would be well worth it imho.

Also the problem with the internet is there is always somebody ready to take advantage of someone else and this has led the world to acting a little cautious these days when dealing with money or sales over the internet. You could have easily been a victim yourself with someone stealing your pics and trying to sell something they have not got over the net as well, but either way once again :sorry:

I've done nothing wrong here! And I've politely conversed about several Wagons("DEALS") posted on here but u know what,I don't have to take CRAP from you or anyone!!!

A little over 2 years ago this "occupant" CHUMP wrote post after post of nothing but LIES about me all because he wasn't lucky enough to buy a wagon that I had bought and how I even found this forum in the first place was because his "CRAP talking" was plastered all over the internet(triggered me to accidentally find this site) and then later I decided to join only because I love old wagons and I had thought it would be cool to converse with other wagon lovers too.

I DID NOT GET ON HERE TO CONSTANTLY GET TALKED DOWN TO,LIED ABOUT,OR ANY OTHER BS LIKE THIS!

These guys are tools. Both of them, the original owner and the new flipper.

Original guy with humor sells it to this clown for less than I offered, some BS story about how they had one when they were growing up and he wants to restore it for his kids. Now the fool is trying to sell it for 7x as much after wiping it down and changing the wheels. All the gas tank draining, carb cleaning, etc, was done by the original owner to get it running for sale.

I'm done. Sick of the BS on CL and eBay. I am only buying cars with no known history from impound/abandoned auctions and I will treat them as if I just pulled them from a pasture. I'm not buying anything until we move. That is Priority One. I need a garage. I can finish work on my Gran Torino. I can find new projects. Buy a pickup truck and a trailer to bring them home. Make trips up to Nebraska and all these places the derby guys live and steal the nice ones out from under them.

I'm beyond pissed about this particular car.

I'm sure the guy is an "enthusiast" except that green '73 he has been peddling for about a year on the Houston CL...it's as rough as this '76. Just looks nice. Some people think a paint job, wheels, and a vacuum are all you need to make skads of money selling cars. This fool is one of them.

And where did you get this post from Clamshell? I don't see a "quote' etc,etc. And your slamming a member who is active on the forum. As of my posting rite now you only have 7 posts in 2 years, never a intro, only about flipping your cars. I'm a old flipper myself and have no problem about that but I read the simple guide lines when I joined.....

For some reason, some of your other sales are not able to be found?

Anyway, for your asking price on this wagon, 2 years ago you mentioned mold and at least your honest about that......but now we know the mold/mildew has been there for at least 2 years and in your sales pitch your indirectly saying....buyer, deal with it, there must be some thing to clean it. I can see and have walked away from mold, from wagons that I really wanted...... Mold + west coast I can see......why would a dry Texas car have mold/mildew???....I'm just asking, but after 2 years+.....that's scary sh**!

Car is currently in the body/paint shop having some rust issue fixed/car repainted.

It's a lifelong Houston Texas car so rust wasn't a big deal,just the typical type of deal!

Car runs/drives AWESOME and is all original except for wheels/stereo.

$6,900.00 will be price for it ready to go minus it needing a little TLC and seats still need some cleaning from mildew/mold that had set in.
