Exactly. Baxter literally jumped into Paul's arms. Paul was working underneath his car when he heard a peculiar crying/squeaking and caught a glimpse of orange out of the corner of his eye. Paul stood up and the cat jumped into his arms and started purring. One look at those orange eyes and he fell in love. He came home, I was at the computer when he said "Lisa, guess what I've got! It's something we already have!" I said "Another cat?" Sure enough, a cat. "Boy or girl?" "I think he's a boy." I immediately named him Baxter, after the cat that was in the Friskies commercials in the '80's.
They are. Very beautiful colors that change. Fun to watch them eat. Put a few crickets in the cage and his tounge comes out about a foot and grabs his prey just like in a cartoon.
Is it because they are black kittens? Or because it's Halloween? Probably both. Well I'm glad the don't adopt them out then...around Halloween. Evey is very affectionate. Since we moved she has become VERY close to hubby.
Not only both. A buddy of mine in the early 80s showed me what was allegedly his girlfriend's book on occult medicine. I remember reading about a cure for some flu or cold involving a pair of cats. Describing the ritual here would be too apalling for most viewers. It was more than likely not his book, because he was too busy repairing cars for a living and was more of a partyer type
It has more to do with evil humans and their evil rituals. As described above. We weren’t aware of anything this appalling until we started fostering.
Black cats bring bad luck, when they cross the road in front of people. Walking under a ladder tends to magnify a black cat's unluck, when that cat happens to cross the street just while you're walking under that untimely ladder
