We only had 2 channels and that was only until the B&W floor model TV got hot and the we had turn it off and let it cool down. But by the time it did we were usually to busy out doors, climbing trees, rowing(and bail) our boat, riding our bikes to even think about watching TV.
Thanks for the stroll down memory lane Yellowspirit. (y)

I never cared for Hee Haw or the Dukes of Hazard... but other than that I qualify! :tiphat: There were times when we considered ourselves lucky to get 5 channels

I give Hee Haw credit for accelerating me through puberty, between that show and Benny Hill it was crazy.

The Subaru Brat had rear facing high back bucket seats and belts in the back.
You can see the tops of the seats just above the roof in the picture.

Yea but the little girl sitting in back is leaning and facing forward. Obviosly her seat belt is not hooked or is way too loose! I think that Brat needs a good spanking!
If the driver runs over a Stingray and it blows a tire she could be injured.
This is also why most Subaru Brats rusted out in two years. The salt water was not good on it.

I also remember those seats having pistol grip handles to hang on to during wild rides.

Riding in the truck bed is illegal in some states. I think here in Florida there is an age limit. Just think, years ago many kids had to ride in the back of an old farm truck.

It's illegal in any state that has a mandatory seat belt law. Truck beds don't have seat belts.
