I think I like beer better too Cat, we aren't picky we get a box of wine. Beer...I'm easy...beer flavor is just fine. :pub: I do like some snobby beers IP's, Ale's, etc...but in the end it's beer.

Son and his wife, daughter-in-law, always have a fancy box of wine. But she also has those tiny single serving bottles, 5ths., jugs, and other sizes.
Too bad beer doesn't come in a big box. For parties they have to rent those kegs. Son and son-in-law like those flavored beers. Some are good. Some too sweet. I forget which is best so I have to try several. After awhile I don't really care!:drink:

What a name, River Ale. We lived near the carp infested Illinois river. Now near the gator infested Suwannee river. Altho I have tasted beer that was similar to river water. :beerchug:

I've never tried Deschutes. Looks like an amber lager, which is my favorite kind....

While in Prince Edward Island on our Camero/ birthday/anniversary weekend in August. It was suggested that we visit this brewery and sample their seasonal brew. I did, it was a maple beer...very pleasant. We weren't able to buy any to take home because it was a seasonal beer and only available in the resturant...to bad.

    A Safari encounter.....

I was on my way home from work this evening, and noticed a wood-paneled box wagon up ahead, stopped in traffic in the right lane. My left lane was clear for a ways, so I had to motor on past. He caught up with me on the freeway where we exchanged brief pleasantries. His was an '88 Parisienne Safari. We traveled together for the next 5 miles or so... Other drivers might have thought it was some kind of parade......

My favorite local brewpub. They have a honey brown ale that I truly enjoy.

That's cool, KK. I've only had one driving experience seeing another Buick like mine. Wagon was going the other way, the driver had complete tunnel vision and didn't see me but the 2 little kids in the car saw me and looked like this.......
    :eek3:........:yup:

    Hot Dam!

So back in April I got several yards of free 3/4 crushed road base and changed the mud pit in front of the house to this.....

It was perfect, yet I had to spread it very thin in the area you see the grass. Well the left side is still doing great but the rite side being thin is grassy again as it remained a low spot. Well I just got phoned and my same bud is bringing over today 3 yards of 3/8 crushed and a couple bags of concrete that I will powder cover......... going to cost me a 24 pac of beer just to cover the cost of the concrete bags, the gravel was extra from a job and would be heading for the land fill as the dump truck needs to empty for Monday AM.

I had roughly 2" white rock put beyond my cement drive back in Illinois for my motorhome beside garage. A short time later had 1/2" rock added. From the street it looked like cement too. Never thought about spreading concrete over it. Not sure how that works out.
This year when we drove by the old place the white rock area looked like all weeds. No one keeps it sprayed or pulled out. And that rock was fairly thick so you will still have to spray the grass and weeds now and then.

Turned out pretty good IMO, Cat, Concrete powder for 2 reasons. it will help kill the grass that wants to grow through, and it was there so for 24 beer why not dump it down and around with the free rock:yup:

a bit or rock with concrete over the grass, pack it a bit then spread the rest out.

Spread out and then I drove over it slowly to pack it down, now ready for winter rains....

I was behind the garage and.... say  to my little friend! Noticed this wolf spider freaking out, or so I thought but if you look real hard you can see him eating a bug that got in the web. It was kinda cool in a demented way to watch him eat it:rofl2:. I got my face rite in there to watch. Deb was not amused when I called her over....girls and spiders.....:rofl2:

I kind of like that area in front, Tedy. Gives the neighbourhood a rural feel. Plus, you would probably be paying a nice assessment on your property taxes if they put curbs and sidewalks in!
