Heh heh, it was that way, EVERYWHERE. Dad told me about 'shiners from the Carolinas that had moved to Western Washington, and set up their stills; if you wanted a fresh jug, you walked up a certain logging road, jug in one hand, cash in the other, to a stump, and set down the cash, jug on top of it, then walked away. Come back a half-hour later to a full jug and no cash.

i haven’t checked up on the laws here lately. We used to have a certain legal limit of gallons of your own shine for personal consumption

when we were kids, we used to call him the Rinky Dinky Man, because of his bell. You could hear him coming a block away. That gave you enough time to ask Mom for some money and then flag him down. Ice cream was a nickel.

By the time I was that age, everyone had invested in electronic bullhorns that played a few different tunes. But you still ran to Mom, Dad, or your piggy bank when they were blocks away from you, then wait on the sidewalk to flag him down.

I really didn’t have much love for the new Camaros or even looked at one closely until this one. I am impressed.
I don’t know new tech but he told me it’ll have 100 more hp next week. I asked what he was going to do, he replied it’s all in the computer…

I see this, I think Corvette ZR-1s back in the late Eighties, when peeps bought them, stuck them in garages. Then found out the values weren't rising at all because almost everyone did it.
