I have read how it happens to the firefighters, losing their homes while saving other peoples lives and homes. The aftermath of these horrific events can be devastating to many people who have lost all of their possessions. Insurance costs are getting ridiculous but I understand the reasons. The deductible for earthquake insurance for our home and shop is just under $100K but where we live we felt it's important to have it. Haveing to pay out that much is not nearly as painful as being out for the entire cost of rebuilding and replacing everything that's lost.

Funny thing is, my wagon is a 64, but the taillights look more like the 63's

See, that's why I thought that sedan was a '64. Oh, well.

Not that I know of. Most went the way of the Dodo bird after the Interstate was completed.

Well, we do have the ferry boats that ply Puget Sound, in lieu of big bridges across, but Puget Sound is an inland sea, not a river.

True. I was thinking more along the lines of the small ferries that cross rivers like the one that used to be at Vernita on HWY 24 just past the Hanford Gate. There has been a bridge there as long as I have been alive, but before that there was a ferry similar to the one I posted above. My Dad crossed that river on the ferry countless times as a kid.

Take care, breathing in smoke can be deadly for some.
