Last weekend we happened onto a very large Corvette Show.

 

the dart was his first car and he took his driving test in it. His daughter has claim on it when he gives it up.

 

My friend and I went to Lowe's this afternoon, this was outside. Unrestored and in the family since new:

Tomatos, bell peppers, various hot peppers, zuccini, watermelon, cantaloupe, cucumbers, and a little herb…

'Take the wildfire situation as seriously as we are,' minister urges Nova Scotians | CBC News

We in Nova Scotia and neighbours in New Brunswick are struggle though a lot of wildfires. Due to a lack of snow this passed winter, a very dry spring and the damage created by Hurricane Fiona has come together to produce a situation for these fires to to burn out of control. Just outside of Halifax, in a densely populated area over 150 homes have been lost and about 50 other structures.
Folks had to evacuate so quickly that they had no time to gather belongings, horses were set free to fend for themselves. Business outside of the burn area stepped up to donate their trucks to help move campers out of harms way. Others came forward collect those horses that made their way to safety on school grounds.

On our beautiful south shore the largest fire in NS history (over 17,000 hectares) is burning out of control. There too, homes and cottages have been lost. Equipment from Newfoundland and Maine have come to our aid to help with these fires.

It is very scary times. There is rain in the forecast for Friday and Saturday and a cool down for next week. Fingers crossed this get better soon.
