Those figures wouldn't have been accurate for some areas in 1968.... Average house in So Cal back then would have been close to triple that amount.

 

California was always an economy for itself. The average wages claimed were also questionable

 

only a few place on this earth can compare to MY hometown!

Second-quarter sales in 2017 have already jumped some 15 percent compared with the mere eight percent increase realtors saw during the second-quarter of the previous year, according to a new report from Douglas Elliman Real Estate and Miller Samuel Real Estate Appraisers and Consultants. The price rise has resulted in New York apartments selling at an average of $2.19 million a pop while median prices also hit a new record of $1.19 million. that's 2013 -

 

I'd rather have the few 1968 gold-backed real dollars than those 235,000 Monopoly game pieces of paper which will again vanish, as soon as the financial excrement hits the fan again. Next time the fan gets going, it's predicted to chop much more material
