I'm still waiting to see one of those little cars in the back of a pick up. I never driven one, wouldn't pay $$ for one, but I like them! Not really a longroof but what the heck

Me too! First time I heard it, I was with Dad, and I was, oh, 12 or 13; I started to laugh at the refrain, and he asked, "You haven't heard this yet?"

I'm still a kid and still smile when I hear it. Lots of people lost jobs carrying out one piece at a time in their lunch pail.

I used to work with this guy that would puff up and cross his arms and say "I get in the far left lane and go the speed limit and if people try and pass me that's too bad, they shouldn't be speeding anyway.:yuck:" To which I would reply "hmmm, was that you I was tossing loose change at, going east on I-440 yesterday evening?"

I saw you take EXIT 9W.:90:

One of my biggest gripes is people getting on a multi lane highway, espcially from right behind me, then driving forever in the far left lane next to or slightly ahead of me. Most end up making a right turn someplace ahead.:banghead:
Lately both in Florida and Illinois there have been report warnings of tickets for driving in the left lane. So far many still do, including the cops!:cussing: It is the passing lane only! The HOV lane is for multi passengers during heavy shift change traffic. Blow up dolls and maniquines are accepted at times.

I stay in the far right when I can, figuring there is less chance of a head on collision. If I am going faster than the idiot in the far left lane I go ahead and pass him/her/it. Pulling over behind him/ her does no good. This often causes irratic braking for no reasons. Especially when flashing the lights or honking the horn.:rant2:

Another stupid move is when passing another car who is driving under the speed limit in any lane, they end up going over the speed limit as I attempt to drive the legal speed while passing.
No wonder there is so much road rage!:badwords::bs:

Here's another anything I want message.
As a professional company truck drive, (18 wheeler) we were forced to not excede 55MPH and the trucks had devices to check stopping, going, speed, etc.
I often drove the same 4-lane routes every work day. Here is a sample of things I saw at 4AM thru 4 PM on major interstate highways. The less traffic the stupider this seems.
A car would pull up along side my truck in the far left lane and drive 55 MPH for 100+ miles. 99% of the off ramps are right turns from the far right or merge off lane. After that 100+ left lane driving they would pull over, usually right in front of my loaded big rig, and take a right off ramp. Again often not using a signal light, or blinker as you prefere.
This sort of thing happened daily and I still see it now. People for some reason drive in the far left lane no matter how far they go or which way they have to turn when getting off.
Sadly most think they are obeying the laws and feel safer in the lane with less traffic.:chirp:Don't worry about that left lane speeding driver coming from the other way, sleepy, drunk, on drugs, or with bald rotten tires!
On a circle race track you can drive in the left lane because it is shorter around. The highways are not race tracks!:racingflag:

As for Grizz and all the weird Tennessee highways with unexpected exit ramps going either way, whichever lane you are driving in will most likely be the wrong one for your exit!:character0182:

More questions: Why on some interstate highways do the clover leafs have the exit to the left? Why when one of two lanes end is it the right lane that ends if we are supposed to all be traveling in the right lane? Why do so many drivers stay in the lane that for miles says CLOSED AHEAD then merge in expecting others to let them?
No wonder we need cars that think for us. Most drivers can't think, text, chew gum, and look at scenery at the same time! :)

I'm not 100% certain, but I believe this is the observatory parking lot at Mt. Rainier.
