Guilty. But to be fair, most dogs are smart enough to wait to see the ball in flight, then take off to chase it down.

I don't care for sour grapes or raw lemons. :naughty::cheers:Sweet grapes are fine.

I bet those kids were falling over each other to get into that class. All I got to drive were Granadas, one of which had a 3-on-the-tree.

When I was in high school drivers training the Chevy garage furnished two new cars. I took the course in 1956 so I"m thinking the cars were either 1955 or '56 Chevy 4-doors with 3- speeds. I don't think they got new cars every year.
I know they were standard shift because it was fun being in the car while some of the girls tried to go up a slight grade. Well probably some of the guys too.
We started out in the city park which had large parking lots and small hills. After awhile we'd drive north and south on the cross streets of the residential areas so we had to stop and start every short city block.
My real driver training was with grandpa in his 4-door 1954 Chevy with 3-speed. He also made me start out on those darned north side cross streets. But later Grandpa, Buster, and I took a long ride ending up over 85 miles away up rt 66 then back.
Grandma grounded all three of us! Grandpa was deaf and rarely smiled. He enjoyed our ride and just grinned behind grandma's back!

Contrary to what many of you think, I didn't learn to drive a horse and buggy or Model T.

Hey, even I learned about the Model T, including how NOT to break your arm hand-cranking it and not running the battery dead while driving.

In my driver's training in 1967, we were all on our own as far as stick shift driving was concerned. They didn't even address the issue. Cars were '67 Plymouth Fury III 4-door hardtops with auto. Didn't have any manual trans cars in the family, either, so I had to learn a little later on my own with a friend's VW Squareback (or was it a Fastback? - I can't remember.).
