I'd swear it had at least the 45RPM speed, and could've had multiple speeds.

I remember when I had my 1949 Dodge. I wanted a record player. All I ever got was a shiny stainless tissue dispenser and a tilt out drink holder in blue hammertone.:slap:

The 16 RPM record speed allowed for a longer playing time.

    Records

I remember the first video type recorders we saw was at an RV park with lots of serveilance cameras. It used something similar to 33 1/3 record size. He also bought moves on those records.
First recorder I had was a large VCR recorder. Took that sucker to Disney World in 89. My left shoulder still hurts!

    VCR's

Remember those old video recorders? They took a full sized VCR casset and had a battery as big as a car battery.:49:
The year before my neighbor had an even larger two piece recorder.
The home VCR/DVD recorder player I have now is smaller!;)

Today 99% of the young people have a cell phone that takes better videos when they're not texting. Dick Tracy would be jealous.:biglaugh:

That's the one I had, along with an RCA Video Disc player. I got both free, and sold both at the same time for twenty bucks. Woo hoo. But hey, it was gas money!

Oops, that's not the one I had. I had the 2-piece VCR and camera. I wish I had that one.

We had a Minolta, like this. Spent A LOT of money on it, before the kids came along, with the express intent of making hours and hours of videos with the little chillins.... Didn't happen. After a few outings, we realized that making movies was a lot more trouble than it was worth, and I wasn't what you would call a great vidiographer.....

Memories. :thumbs2:Yep, mine was the RCA. Used it on many vacations. Got the VCR tapes someplace.
Probably paid a fortune because I remember buying from a downtown camera store.

Where I live and what it's supposed to look like below...........

Not just BC but the island itself is engulfed in forest fires rite now. Below is a satellite pic taken July 5th. No wind let alone any breeze the past few days has been helping the fires to not spread as fast, but no breeze = there is nowhere for the smoke to go. First time since I've lived on the island we have a serious air advisory warning for the elderly, heart and diabetes sufferers, and all with any form of breathing deficiencies (including children) to stay indoors. I was in the deep woods yesterday not that far from home and it got so dark in the morning you would have though the sun was just setting. Day 2 and I can still stare at the sun with no eye protection, the sun looks like a soft pink ball as I type.
...it's kinda dark out here considering it's not even 5pm, andit smells like a camp fire anywhere you go.

And to ad insult to injury, we on the island have the largest water bomber in the world, the Martin Mars witch has water bombed in the USA and in Mexico several times over the years are grounded..... And Sprout lake where they are stationed is burning all around them.... BC Government doesn't want to flip the bill to put them back in service.:banghead3:

Not good Tedy. I remember when we came home to Florida and everything was grey and smokey. The fires weren't even close to us. Makes breathing bad.
    Good luck.

Yeah, that smoke is holding in the heat, and the likely reason we've broken temp records in Seattle the last few days. Losing those Mars flying boats would be a damned shame; I hope either the B.C. or the Canadian Government ponies up to at least fly them to safety. It's too bad Sandpoint, down here on Lake Washington, doesn't have its flying boat ramp anymore.

We've been watching the news about fires Tedy, very scarey indeed. We have from time to time experienced smoke coming in from Quebec but I'm sure it's nothing like what your going through.
Hang in there Tedy stay safe.

    :)
