That was actually a fork truck training video used by many businesses. I started out at the big Cat putting little parts in bins. I hated working inside so became a fork lift operator in a yard. I didn't get to watch anything like that. I had to learn myself.
The first forktrucks were battery operated. Those and the early LP gas trucks did not have a roll cage or any safety devices. After a few operators got hit in the head they added the roll bars. Since I worked outside winter and summer ours later had a cab, heater, and wipers. I should have kept that job. Much safer and easier than being a trucker.
I could tell some gory stories about other operators too!
My uncle worked at a factory that made fence wire, nails, fence posts, etc. Many forklifts used a long pole to haul wire like farmers do to move hay rolls. My uncle was truckin along near a wide doorway when one of those pole truckers came thru. My uncle got the pole thru his middle like that fork part. He survived and after many years went back to work. I'll bet he had a large belly button!
Do not watch this if you have a weak stomach or after lunch!:banghead3:

As much as I love women, one in particular, driving skills are not at the top of my "why I love her" list.
Leave it to the Chinese to come up with a solution:

The idea seems to be catching on. South Korea and some other countries have them too.
