    Just found this thing laying around. 1 of about 4 aircooled VW engines I have, and this one is an early to mid 60's 1200 engine. I also have 2 transaxles, a seat, some wheels, some more jugs, and a loop style bumper. Might just rebuild all of them. All untouched since about 1976.

    I saw a BMW motorcycle once that had a spit and polished VW flat four installed where the stock flat twin used to live.

    Speaking of peanuts over in the marijuana thread, here's this:

    A man was visiting his aunt in the retirement home. It happened that she was taking a nap when he arrived, so he just sat down in a chair in her room, flipped through a few magazines, and began to munch on some peanuts sitting in a bowl on the table.

    Eventually, the aunt woke up, and her nephew realized he'd absentmindedly finished the entire bowl. "I'm so sorry, auntie, I've eaten all of your peanuts!"

    "That's okay, dearie," the aunt replied. "After I've sucked the chocolate off, I don't care for them that much anyway."

    i put a lot of effort into vw's back in the early 80's,.

    damn things were so light i had to squash them with the loader and haul them 2 at a time to make any money,...
