    Hello from Nova Scotia, Canada.

This is a 1986 Mercury Grand Marquis Colony Park. She's not perfect, but that's okay as I plan on doing the work with my boys.

It's got a rare option with the 351 Windsor / dual exhaust. I haven't had much luck running the VIN number on the web. I may have to go to Ford to see what options this gem has.

The one thing missing is the Rear facing seats so if anyone on here knows the best results for finding these. Post away. I've looked a little but I think it'll be difficult in Canada.

I joined here to see what insights the community will have keeping these cars alive.

    Thanks. 20220808_203320.jpg 20220812_204156.jpg

Welcome aboard. That looks like a nice wagon for a father-sons project. Good luck with it all and be sure to keep us posted.

Welcome Sleprock. Wow I would have loved to have the 351 on my ‘83. By ‘86 I bought a new Grand Marquis with the new and improved 302 with fuel injection. That was a vast improvement over my 1983 Grand Marquis. Does that 351 still have a carburetor on it. I assumed so.

Welcome aboard. Glad you found your way here.
If you are interested we have the hing to install the rear folding seat but no seat. You are welcome to it.

@60Mercman : It does have the Carb. A 2 barrel that needs a good cleaning.

@OrthmannJ : Thank you. The boys already love it being 5 and never seeing a car with "wood" on it before. Haha.

@fannie : Really?!. That'd be great since those are missing as well.

Really. We have no need of them. If you can use them they won't end up in the scrap metal bin. You would be helping to clean out our garage

I keep a mirror in my pocket and hang around a lot of the ole car folks. Lol. It’s funny you say that Jennifer. I am the NM representative for the Lincoln Continental Owners Club. I can’t tell you the calls I get when mom stops driving, or dad died. I’ve picked up a couple of nice cars. I always put a fair value, and don’t ask unless they express an interest in me just buying the car. Sadly I’m not a flipper. They just follow me home forever. Lol.

Just a tip, if you should find parts for your wagon State's side True Value in Calais, Maine ( Hardware Store in Calais 04619-1608 | Johnson's True Value Hardware) has or did have a storage facility to hold items so you can drive there and pick them up. This is or was a lot cheaper than having items shipped directly to Canada.
We had quarter panels from Texas shipped there and the process went smoothly, just make sure you have the appropriate paperwork for the border folks. Now having said all that shopping online has changed incredibly in the past 10-11 years.

    Good luck :)
