Thanks for all of the compliments folks. I wish the weather would clear up so I could actually clean it up and play with it a little. Hopefully, the old girl will be going in the shop next week for a thorough inspection.

Holy Crap!!! thats a big luggage rack !!
and a sweet as well .

Yes, FANTM58, it really is. Hahaha

You sly dog, keeping this wagon a secret from us. She looks like a keeper to me, in spite of a few minor flaws. Marshall

Hahaha! I had to keep it a secret for a little while, Marshall. Keeping it is still up in the air. I have found something else I like, but we'll see.

Great looking wagon. Chrome Magnums, that's what you need. The 68 T&C wagons look great with the factory chrome Magnum rims.

I agree, Jim 68cuda they do look good. However, for the sake of finances, I'll probably find a nice set of 15" hubcaps for now. Any
    suggestions?

That is awesome and rare wagon!!!!!

Thanks Parisienne! It is pretty rare. I haven't seen many of them around anywhere.

    Love it! I just bought a 66!

Thanks Edselwagon. I'd like to see photos of your '66. I do like the '66 body style better.

Nice looking wagon, does it run?

Thanks Fannie. Yes, it does run.

I saw, over on the "For C Bodies Only" forum, you posted that you're looking for 15" wheel covers. Personally, I'm not real fond of the 15" wheel covers that were used on Chrysler, Plymouth, and Dodge in '68 and were also used on Plymouth and Dodge for 69.

But, since all '68 (street) Hemi cars came from the factory with the 15" steel wheels, there is likely someone out there with a 68 Hemi car that would pay big money for clean original 1968 date coded 15" steel rims. Then you could get a set of 15" chrome magnums.

Since you're looking for 15" wheel covers, maybe something like this optional 15" 69 Chrysler wheel cover might look good.

YO Prof. A car-bud friend in Philadelphia found a way while working with a wheel Manufactureer on the left coast to mount 14" hubcaps on 15" wheels. He and his wife are in Aruba 'til mid February, but I'll find out what's up with those wheels when he gets back and let you know. These are 300 Letter car guys who've gone to 15" wheels that still want to run their factory 14" 300 hub caps. Jer

Thanks Jer. I would be interested in hearing how that works.

In the meantime, what do you guys think of these? They are from a '72/'73 Model. They look like they would work.

Yes, those wheel covers are from a 72-73 Plymouth Fury.

Hey Jim, how do you think they would look on my Chrysler? Moreover, do you think they would fit the steel wheels I have?

I would guess that most any 15" wheel cover of 60's to 80's vintage will fit your 15" steel wheels. Whether or not they look good on your 68 wagon or anything else, is all a matter of taste. Personally, I would prefer the wheel trim to be within a model year or two of the wagon, and within the same make (Chrysler not Plymouth), unless purposely going for a custom appearance. For a custom appearance there are probably a lot of more interesting choices out there.
This 68 Chrysler Newport convertible with the optional wood paneling belongs to a local guy we call "Super Bee Joe". His 68 Chrysler has wire wheel covers from a late 70's early 80's full size GM car (Caprice, Olds 98 etc). I don't klnow if they are 14" or 15".

    Thanks Jim.

I'd like to stay within the Mopar family. However, those wire wheels don't look bad. Would '69 be the closest year with a 15" wheel cover?

I want something that would be fairly easy to keep clean and wouldn't look too out of place on the car.

The wire wheel covers in your picture were used on Chrysler products from 1970 up through the late 70's. I believe there were both 14" and 15" sizes of that same wheel cover so be careful what you buy. I think those wire wheel covers would look good on your Chrysler. 1969 was the first year that there were more than one option for 15" wheel covers.

Great find! I really like the body style myself. If it was mine I'd go with the Magnum 500's or this one other wheel that was available around this time period. I wanted a set at the time for a '71 Fury that I had but never did get. I don't have a pic of them but I bet someone on here will know what wheel I am talking about. If I remember right they were painted silver and had several small rectangle shaped holes around the outer part of the wheel and used a trim ring and center cap. Been a while since seeing some. Anyone else remember that wheel? I think they would look great on this wagon!:2_thumbs_up_-_anima

I think these are the ones you're talking about. They really do look good. However, with a price tag of nearly $900, it's never going to happen. This old Chrysler will be wearing wheel covers.

Those were the chrome Magnums that were available on Chrysler products in 67 & 68 in 14" size. Except for the center cap, they were the same as rims used on Fords in the late 60's. The Ford bolt pattern was the same, and Ford also used 15" chrome Magnums in the early 70's.
In 69 Chrysler went cheap and offered the same wheels without chrome plating, and added trim rings. These were called "Road Wheels" and were available on Chrysler products up through the late 70's. I think they were only available in 14" size, but used Road Wheels can be found used pretty cheap. Ford may have had 15" (non chrome) Road Wheels in the 70's that whould have had the same bolt pattern.

A buddy of mine has the 14" Road Wheels with trim rings on his 68 Fury convertible.
