Yeah I think it was garage kept until the original owner sold it. I'm the third owner on it, I hope the window tint isn't cheap garbage. I don't know how long it's been on there. Pretty common since the car originated in Florida. I'm gonna make sure this thing is fixed right, and taken care of. I'll have detailed photo's and post an article on here when the repairs start. Up again will go the awning garage in our driveway It only recently got torn down when we finished my brothers black 1992 Camaro RS, V6, it too was wrecked, PO handed it down to they're son, and, said son met a tree doing about forty. It's kind of a rare car, V6, 5spd, T tops, factory black paint, no rear window defroster though. Done with one project, onto the next sometime starting in spring or summer. For now the goal is just to get the tank on the road, cleaned up, ploodgrain removed. Any recommendation for shock absorbers? I've been recommended coil overs, since the springs are bad, and I can't seem to find springs to fit it. Silly Oldsmobile, bouncing cars are for music video's. I'm not looking forward to the centerlink on that car, we almost never got the one off our '86... We changed it over the summer of 2010. But it had been on there since the factory, that car has AT LEAST 400k miles on it, 100k or so on the trans and 90k on the motor. We built the trans and the motor's roller lifters went 10k miles later. The odometer is reading 34k miles on the '89, which I have good reason to believe is 134k miles, according to an inspection sticker in the glove box. Evidently when it was inspected in '08 it had $1,600 worth of repairs, I think that was something to do with the trans. 'Cause I've looked under the car and the trans is unusually clean. I think the suspension still has some life in it, but it's got soft from sitting. I'm still gonna replace it. Anyway, again, anyone know of some good shocks to fit this boat?
However I'm still not clear on the details and was wondering if you could explain... I'm just kidding...chatty fella aren't yah. Which reminds me where's Normy.
More pictures of my '89, since it wasn't raining today. Also, aired up the flat on my currently daily, the '92 Camaro RS, dunno why it went flat. Stuck valve maybe. Anyway, more pictures: http://s55.photobucket.com/albums/g139/Dead-Reckon/1989 Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser/?start=all The new pictures include A picture of the top of the dash An expanded view of the dash A better view of the drivers side door panel A view of the middle row seat A view of the third row seat And some other stuff, like the crack in the windsheild On a side note, I need an RPO decoder for this car, anyone know of one?
