I will sell ya mine, you just have to swap either the LT1 I have for it or the LSX.....come get it lol
Uh? Whats the LSX? I really love the stance and overall look of your car. The gray interior is not extremely important, as long as its not red, or leather.. Is there any fabric black interiors?
LSX is the LS series motors that came in the later vette's, camaro's, and the newer trucks and full size suv's LS1 5.7, LS2 6.0, LS3 6.2 Those are some, they also had the 5.3, which is a cheap steal compared to the rest. WAY more power than the LT1! Mine has the blue cloth interior, it is like an Ocean in there lol I honestly plan on keeping it, at least till I finish the body work and put the new wheels on. EDIT: thanks for the compliments!
Sounds beautiful!! More power and better economy! I guess they are so far from my budget that i didnt even consider them as an option.. Do they share the same core as the LT,s or are they a own design?
LS1 = 305 to 350 HP LS2 = 400 HP LS3 = 400 to 430 HP LS4 = 290 to 303 HP LS6 = 385 to 405 HP LS7 = 505 HP LS9 = 638 HP LSA = 556 HP These numbers are STOCK...right out of the wrapper with no modifications. In all cases shown, the Foot Pounds of torque are VERY close to the HP numbers. You can get lucky and find some of these in the yard but they are all expensive. More HP more money....even used. Awhile back, the LS9 was going for well over $30K used. Anyway, these are awesome engines that came after the LT1. In order to use one in a non LS engined car you would need ALL the harness, PCM and electronics to either use as is or modify.
If you want to stay Fuel Injected yea, but they are making aftermarket harnesses now. If you go with a carb setup they make that option too, which which is what I am doing......I think..... BTW...5.3 with a cheap cam up grade makes more power than the LS1, and has better flowing heads! I picked mine up complete for 600 bucks
This will be a killer!! What body mods are you going for? I love the idea of a high performance-custom-look estate wagon!!!
I like fuel injection now that I am slowly graduating from the old school. Unfortunately, I don't have the money to get an LS engine. If I did, I would have the Caddy LSA engine in my wagon.
Well still working on all the ideas, I change like every day lol It will be a little lower, not sure if I am doing bags yet or not, but I want a little more aggressive stance, staggered 20" wheels, 20x10, 20x8.5 I believe I am gonna shave the bumper, or if I can bring it in a little bit. Black Bullet Grill Remove all moldings Back Roll Pan I have not decided on the roof rack yet, but I finally got off the rat rod Idea, so I am going for that clean muscle look. Most likely I am gonna keep it white to save myself time and money on the paint, but I may add some trim ideas in there as well Fox, I agree totally with fuel injection, but I am going for 425-450 NA power, and I am going to keep it as cheap as possible. I will not be driving it much at that point so we will have to see. Plus if I decide to add the bottle, Carb Setup's are way cheaper.
I have yet to decide on the interior, I know there is going to be no more blue for sure! Here are the guages I am using though... http://www.autometer.com/cat_gaugedetail.aspx?gid=3906&sid=74 I know I am doing buckets in the front, adding a console, and still designing some dash and door panel ideas. I want it to look like it could come that way stock, but still update it, or modify it. Here are the wheels, no more chrome. Will prob do a little more polish though http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl...ndsp=19&ved=1t:429,r:10,s:37&biw=1176&bih=537
