Been awhile since my last update...I've been showing this car the last few weeks :)

Next day I loaded up and head south the Pigeon Forge, TN for the annual Pontiacs in Pigeon Forge charity car show for St. Judes

At this show I won third place out of all Modified Pontiacs, and won Peoples Choice out of about 250 cars!

Window tint was installed after I got back from the show

The next week I loaded back up, and this time headed back home to Syracuse, NY for the annual Six Nations Pontiac Club show. Its held at the Bill Rapp dealership, where I test drove my first new Pontiac when I was 16. It was a 1998 Medium Blue Metallic WS6 Trans Am. God I loved that car! Couldn't afford it though

The car is probably 95% Done. It runs great. I've purchased a 4 core radiator to install. It runs about 210 with the AC on, and I'd like it a little cooler. I've also decided to install a Richmond 5 speed. I need a steeper first gear to get this boat moving, and I'd love an extra highway gear. I probably won't have any updates for awhile. I hope you guys liked following this build....it was a fun one! :)

It's been quite a transformation from page one to here.

Man, if you make this into a manual 5 speed I will seriously be jealous.

Been a long time since I posted!!

I have fixed a few things with the car:

    1. The original 4 speed had a horrible 1st gear ratio for my 3.23 axle gears. I ordered a new 4 speed from Auto Gear in Syracuse, NY. It is their specialty, and they can order custom gearsets. They put in a much more suitable 1st gear, and a proper speedometer gear so now I can take off from an incline, and my speedo works.

    2. The car overheated on the highway. The cheap Chinese Champion radiator was replaced with a Cold Case radiator and all is well.

    3. My fuel gauge has been repaired. It had a bad ground.

Latest issue is if the car idles too long, there is no airflow to cool the inline fuel pump. It overheats and the car shuts off. Need to research either a better inline pump, or do an in tank pump, since aftermarket tanks are now readily available (go figure).

I am still having a blast with this car. it turns heads everywhere!

That's interesting that your pump overheats, as modern gerotor pumps are cooled by the fuel flowing through. So, do you have a gerotor pump, or the old reciprocating pump design that are headaches anyway? Also, does your system have a return line, so that excess fuel goes back to the tank, instead of the pump pushing against the regulator? And how do you filter the fuel?
