Thanks guys. The job is so simple, even a Caveman can do it. I run a label machine in a factory that makes BBQ Sauce, Marinades and Salad dressings. We do all Great Value, Western Beef, Food Club, SurFine, Clover Valley(Dollar General), Wegmans, Giant Eagle, Tops, Piggly Wiggly, hell about any of the lesser costing private lable dressings or sauces, we make them. If you look at the bottle shape of the Great Value salad dressing or BBQ sauce at Walmart, just look at the shape of that bottle and find the same shape bottle of a different brand, thats ours. We are the only company in the world that uses that style bottle, we have a factory in Erie, PA that makes our bottles for only us. So look for the cheapest priced one and grab it, its all the same formula. shhhhh I didnt tell you that tho. When Kraft and Hidden Valley was laying people off, we were working manditory 24 hours of overtime a week. Why buy the expensive stuff if you can get the exact same stuff cheaper? Thats why we were booming and added a brand new $15 million state of the art production line that just started production when I left. Its such a relief to know I can come home and walk right in the door and have my job back. Grant said I will be coming back into our busy season, so I should be able to get the wife and kids back home within 2-3 months and have a place to live fully furnished waiting for them when they get there. Because we are comin home with only our suitcases and our clothes, thats all we own. I need to find me a next to free beater to get me back and forth to work till I can afford to buy something better.

So I am not gonna live in VA now, I am not even gonna live in NY, I wanna live in PA, everything is cheaper there. But for a while, I have to burden my parents with a room to crash in, till I can get my own place. Its only 25 miles one way to the shop from their place and its all country back roads, no traffic, my kind of driving! Just gotta dodge all the Amish Buggies and the horse sh*t they leave behind for most of the trip to work and back, hahaha.

Great news! But I'm sorry to hear you won't be coming to Virginia.

 

Sorry Jim, but I am gonna keep looking in VA/WV/NC area for an old 2wd F100/150(pre 80) or 67-80 Chevy/GMC or D100/150(pre 81). I would even take any of the 4 older, but they start running into more money or the cheap ones are really far gone. Little rust, faded paint, dents, none of that matters to me. As long as I can jump in, hit the key and drive her on home up north without having to worry if its gonna die on me 1/2 way home and leave me wrenching on the side of the road.

Can't even find a pre 2004 around home that isn't starting to rot away. I want carb, crank windows and prefer a standard shift and would like it to be a I-6 but V8 will do too. Just a basic, no frills pick'um up, just like real trucks are supposed to be. I dont want no stinking 4wd, I have lived my whole life not needing it and I prefer to have a truck with Bigs n Littles with street tires, not no mudders.

Wifes mom, who is in Denmark, is going to loan me the money for a plane ticket, so as soon as she has it gathered up. Probably mid March give or take. The sooner the better tho. Its gonna be hard to leave my wife and babies again, but there will be anywhere from 8-24 hours a week worth of Overtime available, so it shouldn't take more then 3 months of saving and budget shopping to be settled in and ready for their return home. I am anal about spending money. When they left 3 months before I did to come here, I only spent money on gas for the car ti go to work and back and what little bit of food I ate. I was depressed, so I didn't eat much and lost a bunch of weight, sure helped to save money. I was staying with my brother, as I had been selling everything off and what i couldn't sell or give away, I tossed out. I managed to save up for my $1834.78 plane ticket and have almost $6500 in cash to bring over in 3 months time. I was working all the OT I could get my hands on, sleeping 4 hours a day, because I spent as much time talking to the wife and kids online as I could. I was run down but had a goal and I stuck to the plan.

I have a goal now as well. Borrow dads spare car to get to work for the first 2 weeks, suck up as much OT as they will let me have, hopefully 24+ hours a week at $19.92 an hour. Pay MIL back for the ticket and buy a cheap beater to get me through the next couple months. Work and save to get a 2 bedroom apt and buy every dang thing we need to live a semi normal life. I have a 42" TV that my sons were supposed to sell for me, but they liked watching it too much to sell it. Well sorry boys, Daddy is takin it back. So all i will have is my 2 suitcases of clothes, my laptop and my TV to start a new life with. What else does a guy need other then a cheap beater to get to and from work with? hahaha

Livin with Mom n Pops for a while will be hell. They have antenna TV, Dial Up internet and are retired. Mom is a killer cook, so i know she will fatten me back up if I let her, but I will be too busy and depressed without my family to eat much. Pops will be busy hauling Amish and playing with his horses. I will spend as much of my freetime as I can over with my Cousin Steve, who is like my brother. Helping him do the body work on his 21K original mile 75 Chevelle that my cousin Alton was killed in when he got drunk and kit a pole. Uncle Bud replaced the front clip and put it in the garage from 1976 till last spring when he dies and Aunt Clairabelle offer it to Steve for $175. I was so jealous, I been askin to buy that car since I was 13, but Bud would never sell it. Steve asked her 2 weeks after Bud passed and she said get it the hell out of the garage, so she can park her Exploder... errrrr... Explorer in the garage instead of outside all the time. Its a hell of a car, 350, TH350 tranny, swivel buckets, floor shifter, factory AC, 3.23 posi rear. We tore it down to a pile of nuts and bolts and started a full frame off resto. The dang exhaust was still so clean it slipped apart when we unbolted it and loosened the clamps. Motor is being swapped infavor of a 355 4 bolt main dirt track motor that was Steves spare from when he used to race. Only need to swap out the single plane intake and 2bbl carb for a performer air gap dual plane edelbrock and a 650 edelbrock carb and a more mild cam. He has the entire body stripped and in self etching primer, waiting for me to come do the finish work and lay down color on it, Its originally a copper color, but he wants it the same color my 98 Monte Carlo was, a light gold/tan color.

So I have plenty to keep me busy and my mind occupied when I get home.
