Well, bstout....if the bids are real, I'm surprised to see the H/O wagon at $6K right now with a little time left. Frankly, I didn't see it getting to $6K. Again...that's IF the bids are legit.

Since he has a guy at $6K with 11 hours left, he just dropped his BIN price from $6995 to $6500.

 

Hey Silver - that's my issue with Ebay. I don't trust a lot of the bidding.

It seems that when something shows up there if you go to the sellers local buy and sell or recyler paper you'll often find it there as well and can pursue the car that route without the Ebay hassles. Going after a Chevelle was quite an adventure on Ebay. Not one I'd wish to replicate again.

It will be interesting to see if the car does come up again in the near future.

You are sure right about Ebay, saf57. I hate it with a passion. Good place to find them; bad place to buy them. I'm on a wagon there right now. I had a member here (that I will disclose after the auction) check it out for me and I like the car. Unfortunately I know what it's worth and doubt that I will get it even though I want it. First of all the guy thinks he has a golden chariot and second because Ebay bidders are nuts (not to mention the phony bids).

Good luck on the eBay thing !!! I know the Vt. had a phantom bidder at the last of the bidding. Someone just came out of nowhere and bid $6500., when the bid hadn't gone past $5750. ??? I don't think so !!! The same guy just happens to do business with Vt., back and forth...(they buy and sell collectables), I can't trust it!!!
Driving up the price on stuff is what they do... They are about the last place I want to bid.
The really legit guys, advertise on eBay and sell on the phone... I have found some really good deals and reasonable like that. But the get-rich-quickers...
Don't trust 'em!!! And then some!!!

Dunno yet. Amp said he would meet me at the airport so I have to call him tomorrow and see whens a good time for him. Then I have to coordinate a plane ticket. Hope it's REAL SOON!!:banana:
