I'll let you know how it goes. They were scheduled for today, but no word yet, so I am assuming today is off since they say the driver will call 12 to 24 hours before hand.
Sounds like you are shipping across country as well.

    Shipping experience info

I shipped one truck from northern Indiana to middle Texas and another from northern Indiana to the east coast by open carrier (open 3 place, insured carrier). If I wanted it shipped immediately (next few days) it would have been $1100-1200. I was willing to wait up to 2 weeks (lets them arrange other vehicle deliveries) and it cost right at $500 each time. This was by 2 different agencies and they both had 40' 5th wheel flat bed trailers pulled by duallys. Being flat bed trailers they can haul vehicles, campers, 4 wheelers or about anything. They low bid on other deliveries for the trip back which keeps it affordable and them working. They and I took pictures before they left to verify the condition and we filled out a document stating body condition, glass etc , etc. The one driver did say that he had a windshield get broken once but his insurance paid to have it replaced. I was happy with the price and the service. I'll look for their business cards.

Im glad you were able to make the deal. I think you got a good price. Glad I didn't know he would let it go for that or I might have had eight. Can't wait to see progress pics of what you do to her once she arrives.

Just another day of waiting here. I Did just find out it has a 3:23 Posi rear. I wonder if positraction was a common option back then with wagons.

Looks like today is my pickup day.

I can say that Montway doesn't own the trucks, they contract out.
This: http://www.fcttransport.com/ is the outfit that has picked up my contract. If the car gets here in one piece in a timely manner, I'll let you know. Might save some money dealing with them direct.

Good luck. I'm sure your wait is going to be more than worth it. I'm psyched the Buick's almost there.

I have been searching around for more owners and pictures of these wagons with no luck. I can not find any just for comparison.
