Do you own the car now, or are you continuing to look? If you do own it now, you can inquire with all 50 State DMVs (for a fee each, of course!) and find out. If you do not own the car, it's impossible to get this information unless you are law enforcement, insurance company, judge, salvage yard, or the CURRENT owner of the car.

If you have any luck, I'd love to hear how. I own a car and have tried to trace the history through the DMV and have had no luck. Called a PI and they said they couldn't get any info either. And in my case, I'm just looking for one previous title/registration info. I have the info of the people that I bought it from, but can't get the info on the registration just prior. I'm in FL and the car was bought/sold in AZ. I'd gladly pay for a successful service.

HP, after all these years, I would speculate that your special wagon is either A) gone to the crusher, or B) is sitting in someone's barn or garage having not been touched in at least 20 years.

It was so unique, that if somebody saw it on the street (or anywhere for that matter), there would be (current) pics taken and posted on various FB vehicle-related pages.

I suggest moving on, unfortunately. Look for a nice '66 or '67 Coronet wagon and make it your own.
