Well the owner of the '96 Roadmaster wants to keep the wagon till March or April. Him and his wife bought a XC V70 Volvo wagon and they got it in late October. He called me again this week, just to make sure that I knew, he is still giving me the big gal.

The reason why they want to keep it for a few more months, they are still not used to the Volvo. You could tell from his voice (hes in his early 80s, I think), that he felt bad, like he let me down. He called me three weeks ago, again, letting me know they got the Volvo wagon, he also said hes putting on new tires, then asked what kind I wanted......

So yea, how can I get mad at that? I feel like I'm a five year old waiting for Christmas and my mom just told me, its not December now, its July. Be that as it may, I'm still bloody excited for my new member coming in my family.

I did that to my '75 Lincoln Mark 4 when I was in Wyoming......I didn't know they could fly:49:. The landing? Like falling on a pile of down feathers on a marshmallow platform.

    HA HA HA!

Yea, I still don't know what I did right to get this one. Last thing given to me, was in 5th grade, a 3 pack of pencils with my monogram on them. And that was for my birthday.

Thats sad, very very sad!!!!! I used to race a guy the 23 miles to Corry PA, where we both worked at a tire and lube shop, every morning and night. I had my 98 Monte Carlo 3.1 with 215/45/17 tires and he had this cute little smoke grey with purple pearl ghost flame, Focus ZX3 with CAI, a hotter cam and fart can exhaust, 18" wheels and rubber band tires. He tried every day, morning and night, but just could not even compete. I am one of the stupid fearless, I learned that Monte Carlo inside and out and knew what it could do in a turn and I pushed it to the limit and even more. There is one curve that is called Widows Bend, its a dead flat turn with a 25mph warning and it has claimed many lives in the past, hence the nickname. Well my little Monte with them tires and wheels could take it at 75 easy and the fastest I ever tried it was 80 and on the apex I was in the throttle, on the exit of the turn I was over 90, That was where I usually gained a 1/4 mile lead on him, he couldn't take it over 65 with his short WB. My problem was, my PCM cut fuel at 106mph and his didnt at all, so he gained on me in the straights. He never gave up, every day, we would laugh about it at work and on our way out the door at 5pm, I would say, "you ready to loose again?" He would just chuckle and say, "I am feeling Lucky today, so bring it on." I would reply, "That line is getting old Jerry", LMAO!

We ended up having another guy start working with us with one of them Dodge Daytona HEMI wannabe trucks, he lived 9 miles the other side of me in North East PA. He would get me(just barely) on the takeoff, but once I was at 40mph, game over, I was past him in a flash with the focus not too far behind. We would both pass him and after we went by him, he was all done, you just do not throw a brick into a turn and expect it to do anything but plow. We both stopped to get a pack of smokes and let him go ahead, we cought him before the state line 7 miles later and went by him right after another of the nasty turns. We honked as we went by and he gave us the 1 finger wave out the window, LMAO!
