It is interesting you ended up with a car that is BIGGER than the wagon! The Lincoln is on the same frame as the Colony Park, but with a 3 inch stretch in the wheel base. Neat tidbit: Ford used to claim that with the power seat option these cars were designed for people 4'10" through 6'8".

I'm not sure that this generation of the Town Car is longer than the Colony Park. They were side by side in the garage last night and the Lincoln did not seem as big. I didn't exactly get out the measuring stick so can't say for sure. The size of the car wasn't so much an issue for the wife...we have always have big cars and she doesn't mind driving them. The big thing is being able to get that driver's seat to adjust so she can see and her heel can still rest on the floor when she hits the gas pedal. I am naturally thrilled that she and the kids will be safely tucked in a solid land yacht like this out on the roads.

Overall length of the Colony Park: 219"
Overall Length of the Town Car: 215.4"

    I'm surprised.
Town Car obviously has longer wheelbase, but shorter overhangs.

Thank you Cat, my point exactly. It has never really been about the SIZE....it is all about the FIT (of the seat of course).....Getting things at just the right ANGLE makes all the difference :rofl2:
