    This thing is awesome! I love it. Funny that they added a couple of random photos in the ad of what looks like a 1930s sedan interior.
    I'm generally a FORD truck guy, but this thing is down right cool.

    That '62 Chevy truck is interesting. Ad text says it's a '3-door', but there are 4 outside door handles. Hmmmm... Then you look closer and notice external hinges on the right rear door only - not on the left. Means the left side is a 'dummy' door - non-functioning. Personally, the very short bed makes this truck look odd to me. Needs the wheelbase lengthened to allow a normal 6-foot bed.

    I never noticed the hinges until you mentioned it, yes kinda odd. Although never in this condition I have seen other Chev/Gm's and Fords online converted as this truck (but no exposed hinges), standard long wheel base frame converted into a crew cab with the tiny tools only truck box. Odd looking, but I would love this truck, I could haul my dogs and toss stuff in the back and if needed hook up my utility trailer..... I would also raise it back up with just a bit of a stance.


    I think the only low rider chev truck I could deal with would be this one below. And yes it's a real truck done some 10 years ago I believe but I can't find the build link.

    Yeah - I've seen pics of that '67 before. Very nicely done! The '67-'72 Chevy truck body styling has a very clean look. If I were looking for a classic truck, it's probably the one I would go after. That '67 crew cab must have been 'spensive to build. The builder i'm sure used a right rear door from a Suburban, but would have had to fabricate a left rear door - the Suburbans from that period didn't have a left rear door.

    The Crewcab trucks from the 50s 60s, & early 70s were factory built....they were generally used for Municiple/Fleet sales......Railroad, City, & such.

    I'm not personally into slammed trucks, but it was the only pic I could find and you can see the difference in the rear door.

    I seen a 65 or 66 F100 sittin beside a garage over in NC years back, was always gonna stop & ask bout it, but when I finally had time to stop, it was gone.

    I grew up riding around in my dad's 79 FORD crew cab and have been smitten with them ever since. The majority of these trucks were "Factory" built by a second party. Most came as four doors, but some came as three doors, like the one Marshall posted.

    The 67 chivy variety were built using front doors for the rear which looked a bit odd.

    However, using suburban doors from the same vintage a guy could make one look good like it was meant to be.

    The earlier chivy "square" cab trucks also used the front doors for the rear, but looked more natural due to their forward slant.

    As for the short box looking a little funny, it is true that it makes it look out of proportion to the rest of the truck, but many of these were built on existing chassis, and their purpose was to haul people.

    Being an old FORD crew cab nut and an old crew cab nut in general I have wasted many hours researching these behemoths and am full of useless knowledge.

    One of the things that I always found amusing when four door trucks became very popular about 15 years ago was that they have been around for a long time. That's why I loved my 78 crew cab. It was different from all of the other run of the mill four door trucks.
