Great Post from 2013! I used to go to Kober's every so often in the mid '80's.. At the time I was into early '60s Chevy Impalas.. My brother had a '56 Chevy.. Last time I went there was probably '89 and it was still going.. We would walk through the yard on the roofs and hoods of the car, it was so overgrown.. Amazing so many cars still had their windows intact and decent interiors even.. Reading this post gave me a vivid flashback to those days and running around on top of all those cars.. I am still and old car and truck guy.. Currently working on a 1960 Pontiac Safari, '63 Bonneville and '66 GMC truck..

Yow! I love the Jimmy pickup! Not every rig looks good with all chrome grilles and trims. Yeah, being able to walk through old places sometimes yielded needed parts. There's a local junkyard in South San Antonio that has a classic section going way back to the early '40s, but I've been able to snag '60s and '70s parts, that keep rigs running and operating.
