The end of a good day.

Dennis wait till you get over 65....or over 75. I never expected to make it over 50 but I wouldn't change a thing. Well maybe a few things. But mostly I'd got more done on my old cars so I could take it easy now, which I do anyway.:rofl2:
I hope to be cremated so no one has to look and say anything bad. I was bald, naked, and ugly when I came into this world, screaming and crying like a baby. I'm going out the same way!:rofl2:Except I hope I'm not naked or having my butt spanked. Well maybe if it's the right woman!:taz:

Bad luck is better than no luck.

Thanks. Just think of all the gas I've saved. At least my wagon or cars weren't wrecked and my house hasn't burned down. Of all the bad things that have happened to others I've never been robbed, raped, homeless, or many other things. Life has been good. :yahoo:

The upstream O2 sensors are the only ones that affect A/F ratio. The computer determines whether the catalytic convertors are operating properly by comparing the output signal from the downstream O2 sensors to the upstream O2 sensors. You could drive for a million miles with bad downstream O2 sensors and have no affect on drivability.

If you did blow the head gaskets and burned a bunch of anti-freeze or pushed unburned anti-freeze through the exhaust it could have fouled the O2 sensors.

You are very wise. My 97 year old Grandmother who had gone through the wringer before she passed would always tell me, "Mark it could be worse, count your blessings" Not always an easy thing to do when things are not going well.
Keep your head up. I hope your move goes well for you and your family.

    Another follow up

That's what we are thinking. Up until the head gaskets leaked the engine ran fine.
Son also said I didn't need the downstream O2's but I figured why not replace them while he was at it and had them unhooked. Oddly right now only one upper is new and the other upper is the old one unhooked to keep ENGINE LIGHT off. Sometime today or soon he will get the other upper and replace it. Auto parts stores don't stock many parts anymore.
Also I hope having gutted Cats don't make a difference in performance. They were plugged over a year ago when he put on true duals. Probably from running that great 87 octaine corn juice.
Still have no idea why the replacement heater core broke in 13 months. It was wauranteed 12 months that's why! :slap:
