All Roadie wagons came with the 5.7. No 5.0 at all wich is kinda a waste if you ask me cuz the 305 and the 350 had very little horsepower diffrence in 92. It burns my Grits too cuz I have a 93 Caprice sedan with the 305 and it will belt out the same MPG as my 350 powered Roadie wagon. Also that is an ODB1 computer. They didnt swap out to the ODB2 till they went with the LS engines in 94 in the Roadies. If I am not mistaken all Roadies both Wagons and sedans all got the 5.7 in them. I know they dropped a 4.3 in the Caprice cars as an added option but they got worse MPG's that the 305's.

Big Ug....I think you meant to say the LT1 in 94-96. The LS series did not appear until 1997. The 94 and 95 LT1's were still OBDI. OBDII began on the 96 LT1's.

Yeah you are right I was off on my dates. See I have been goin round and round about this swap I want to do with my ride and I got in a hurry and posted before I thought it out.Yeah the LS was an ODB2 and the LT was the ODB1. See i had a thought on runnin a LT tune port in my ride and backed out of it. Especially when found that LS fer such a steal. I am just a little leary about the swap. I can get the engine in and all that just find. I lothe runnin wires.

Well...not all LT1's are OBDI. My 96 Caprice is an LT1 with OBDII. 96 is the first year it appeared on these cars. It makes for some problematic decisions. I think you mentioned that the Corvette LS engine you have access to is a 96. That would not be an LS. It would be an LT1/OBDII. All LS engines began in 97. And....I'm not smart at all. I am new to these engines and from the old school. I do find them fascinating though.

I know the engine is an LS in that vette and so it prolly is a 97. My step mom has a 90 with an LT in it and it is a TunePort 5.7. I was originally wanting to slip one of those in the hole of her. I like the Ports aloth better cuz of the amount of work out can do wiith them. i know they got 600Bhp at the rear whells on her car but it is runnin a small Super charger on it and alot of internal work. They got damn near 12 grand in the engine alone minus bolt on power. I was even thinkin about a TunePort 305 outta a Camaro fer the Roadie cuz hell anything would be better than that LO5 in her now. I lover the LO5 fer her durability but the horsepower falls on the short side and besides I think the intank and runners on a LT look cool. I dont know, the world is wide open as far as options yet money is so tight it all falls on that.

Yup....take it from me....these things can get expensive. Especially if you want to swap in an LS. Worth it though if you have the money. If you have BIG money you can go all the way up to 638 HP right out of the wrapper!:D
