Andrew is going to kill me if he finds out I was in Everett on Friday and I didn't stop in and say "hello"

To be fair, though, I've been having Internet access problems since last night, and it took this long for the email notification to reach me, not ten minutes ago

Except, I'm still not home yet. But at least you reached out to me, just to check.

Another trip to UW Medicine this past weekend. We made a fun trip out of it, stopping in Snoqualmie to see a special Tank engine.

Unfortunately we had a little fender bender on Sunday. It doesn't look too bad, but I am nervous about what is underneath.
Got it scheduled with the body shop for September 9th.

    Must be going around....
Our 2012 Edge is in the Ford dealer collision shop as I write this. On the Saturday the 12th, our younger daughter who was visiting from So Cal, wanted to drive up to Portland to visit a friend (she flew in). We let her borrow the Edge. Going up I-5 a bit past Salem, some hard braking occurred suddenly in a couple cars ahead of her. She didn't stop in time and rear-ended a Ford C-Max. The C-Max got a damaged bumper assembly and lift gate. The Edge's steering wheel air bag deployed, the hood buckled, and of course the bumper assembly was damaged. Preliminary estimate was around $5k. Got a call back from the shop today - estimate after tear down is now above $9k. Damage to the radiator and condenser, fan shroud, core support, bumper reinforcement, and the ends of the frame rails. Might be a total loss.

Kind of a shame, because my wife LOVES her Edge.......

Damn, that is harsh. Without a teardown, you never know what the actual damage will be. I hope your daughter's OK, because having a bag inflate from a collision is a nightmare.

So, Jeremiah, this time I was in town...and you didn't call or text...tsk tsk. Even if you were in Seattle, I could've tootled on down.
