I think it qualifies as a station wagon. Yes, it has three rows, that's why we bought it. Crossover is the newfangled fancy term for station wagon. The way I have always kind of defined a station wagon is any type vehicle with an extended and enclosed cargo area (Non trunk) that is based on a car platform/chassis.

It's amazing, but the Freestyle is almost the exact same length as the Fury.
I did like the looks of two wagons in the garage.

As I said earlier, we took it on a trip this last weekend. Every August my family rents a cabin up in the Roslyn area. It's a little old Coal mining town in the Cascades. (Some of you may know it from the show "Norther Exposure") Ironically, it is also the town that held the vintage trailer rally I went to earlier this summer. My family has a lot of history in the little town. My Grandmother was actually born in one of the homes that still stands from the turn of the last century. There is also a Lake, Lake Cle Elum which we go to every year for swimming and boating. My Great Grandparents had a saw mill on the East end of the Lake until the Federal Government bought them out to raise the water level in the 1930s.

We look forward to it every year and always have a great time.
We took the Freestyle and I put the cartop carrier on for the trip. We had more room than we knew what to do with.

All loaded up and ready to go:

I really enjoyed that show, Northern Exposure, all the characters were excellent. So great that you have these family ties to the place. It must feel like a second home...or perhaps your first.
I hope you enjoy your visit with your family and all that extra space.

    :)

Yes, it is neat. There is a TON of History there and then you throw in the TV show aspect and it's even more unique. Every Sunday they have a Farmer's market in the middle of town. This is the second time we have checked it out. It's pretty typical of a farmers markets in this area. Lots of neat stuff, very family friendly.

It seems like the only time I take photos of this car is when we are going on a trip.

Even with the soul-sucking weather, the U.S. West Coast is a sight to behold, because it just goes for miles and miles of miles and miles.... ;^))

I actually enjoyed the weather, though my wife thought it was too cold.
We were able to go down to the water on two of the days and had a great time playing in the surf and building sand castles.

God, I haven't body surfed since I was a teen. Now, if I tried to get out of the water, all the other beachgoers would be trying to push me back in.
