Thanks Longroof79. It will def be all Pontiac but with some upgrades. I found Spohn Performance's website and they have some trick goodies for the rear end: gonna go with their Delrin ball control arms and their monster rear sway bar. Going to skip the coil overs and install some air bags in the springs in case of heavy loads. I had a TH400 race built back then, never installed it, and know who still has it, working on getting it back. Never identified the engine, all I know for now is it's a YA block with 46 heads and a 2 barrel but that doesn't mean anything until I get the date code off the back by the distributor, will get that in a few days and then decode the engine. When it was running it ran like a raped ape though! it had a 2 speed in it and friends called it " Fast and Faster" It wouldn't do a burn out to save it's life but would easily peg the 120 speedo and keep going. We had it going so fast one night over the Howard-Franklin bridge (main bridge over Tampa bay) that the wind going by shut the wing windows! There's a hump in the bridge and at 70 it takes 30 seconds to go over it, we did it in prolly less than 10 seconds. I found a giant front sway bar inside that looks twice the size of the stocker. Going to lower it 2" all around and have vented and drilled disk brakes. Need to locate a quick ratio steering box. All poly bushings everywhere. Will rebuild the A/C, gotta have that in the Florida summers. Aluminum radiator and trans cooler. Gear Vendors gear splitter giving me a functional 6 speed with .78 final over drive. I will put in a killer stereo but I want to wire the original AM radio to the original dash speaker as a separate system just for kicks and laughs. Front low back bucket seats, console, and trying to figure out a Hurst His-n-Hers shifter with a button to activate the gear splitter unit if needed. I want the GTO dash setup with the proper gauges in the right places. Paint and interior are up in the air. I want to do a candy burnt orange color, my girl wants black with flames. I like the flames maybe with little laughing skulls everywhere in the fire too! Who knows, cross that bridge when I get there!
