Within the next week the other 318 I bought will be going to my other buddy's shop to get freshened up and replace the tired one in the wagon now.

    Nice! Is it a poly/wide block 318?

Really lovely car. My uncle had its 1968 twin. I always liked that era of Plymouth wagons.

Not a poly. A 1975 318 from a Valiant. Since we will be driving a lot, I wanted the unleaded heads.

That is a really clean-looking wagon. Hope the engine swap goes smoothly.

Excellent find, Timmayy. Congratulations. It looks quite solid and I'm impressed it handled the 3 hr drive home trouble free. From your postings, it sounds like the Belvedere has found a great home. Have fun with it and keep us posted. Best of luck with it.

Ok, I just dropped off the other 318 to my buddy this morning. He's going to go through it. Cam, lifters, oil pump, freeze plugs etc etc. Once he's set with that I'll bring the wagon over for the swap. Just going to keep it completely stock other than heavy duty timing chain and oil pump. "Keep it simple stupid".

Congrats. I totally agree. Love stock with some modern upgrades that help the car run better, or stronger with things you can’t really see under the hood. That is such a pretty wagon as she sits. Gonna be a nice addition. Love it!

Sorry I haven't been on here in a little while. Anyway, wife's wagon is running like a top. We had issues with the first junkyard motor so they gave us another one from a 1980 Dodge pickup. The bottom end has been rebuilt in the past and looks good. My buddy did the top end. First issue was the carb. It was junk. I had to go and get the one off of my 69 Sport Satellite and send the old one out for rebuild. I found an old timer right down the road from me that rebuilds them. Dropped the car off for a couple of days and now it runs fantastic. It's still running a little hot so I pulled the radiator out and dropped it off to get repaired and flushed. Waiting on that.

Radiator is back in. Seems to be fine now. Wifey is really enjoying it. She doesn't let me drive it. LOL
